Bevel Trimmer concept Explorations 2014

Multiple concepts were explored in the early phase of the Bevel Trimmer project. Here are a few of them:

__

01 A graphical and iconic approach. This concept celebrates the triangular nature of the logo and bevels from the overall shape of the product to details such as the hook or the ornamental venting pattern.

A white ceramic blade helps manage the thermal load while in use. The TPU covered body provides additional grip and protection to the trimmer.

__

02 A simpler approach that conveys high precision with a machined aluminum body wrapping along the length of the device.

A narrow gap at the front reveals a finely patterned housing that surrounds the blade mechanism creating an iconic profile with red accents adding character to the product.

__

03 This concept is equipped with a camera that can provide a live feed to the user on their phone and offer guidance while using the trimmer alone. A wide front opening ensures the necessary angle and fov coverage for the camera are met.

A polished stainless steel housing hides the blade mechanism and contrasts with the surrounding materials.

The lower TPU part of the trimmer reveals a ribbed pattern for additional grip while handling. The grooves extend further to the blade itself ending in a triangular profile. They might also serve as a mini heatsink for thermal management.
